structures on-chain.\r\n\r\n\r\nTreasury & cash management - holding working capital in a dollar-denominated asset with built-in selective auditability.\r\n\r\n\r\nDeFi and on-chain finance - using a stable asset in Aleo-based applications, while keeping balances and trading history private from the general public.\r\n##How Is USAD Backed and Issued?\r\nUSAD is a wrapped representation of USDG (Paxos’ “Global Dollar”) on the Aleo Network: \r\nUsers or platforms deposit USDC or USDG into Paxos Labs’ stablecoin infrastructure.\r\n\r\n\r\nAny deposited USDC is swapped into USDG, Paxos’ regulated dollar token\r\n\r\n\r\nUSDG is then wrapped into USAD on Aleo at a 1:1 rate.\r\n\r\n\r\nPaxos Labs is responsible for issuing and redeeming USAD and for managing the underlying reserves\r\n##What Makes USAD Unique?\r\nUSAD is positioned as a “private by default, compliant by design” stablecoin:\r\nEnd-to-end encrypted transaction data\r\n\r\n\r\nOn Aleo, transaction details (sender, recipient, amounts) are encrypted and not visible to generic blockchain observers\r\n\r\n\r\nThis is a major departure from most stablecoins, where every transfer is publicly traceable.\r\n\r\n\r\nSelective transparency with view keys\r\n\r\n\r\nAleo accounts support Account View Keys (AVKs) and Transaction View Keys (TVKs).\r\n\r\n\r\nAVKs let auditors or regulators read the full history of an account without being able to move funds.\r\n\r\n\r\nTVKs reveal only a single transaction’s details (useful for disputes, proof of payment, or targeted compliance)\r\n\r\n\r\nProgrammable dollars on a ZK L1\r\n\r\n\r\nUSAD runs on Aleo, a smart-contract platform built around zero-knowledge proofs.\r\nThis enables programmable workflows (escrow, streaming payments, dynamic payment limits, etc.) while keeping business logic and sensitive values private from the public chain\r\nEnterprise-focused use cases\r\n USAD is designed around real-world business flows, for example:\r\n\r\n\r\nPrivate payroll via platforms like Request Finance, where employees’ salaries are not visible on-chain to competitors or random observers\r\nTreasury transfers and B2B payments that need cryptographic audit trails but don’t want every invoice or margin structure public\r\nCompliance-ready architecture\r\n\r\n\r\nBecause Aleo supports view-key–based selective
