All supply is emitted through mining rewards, reinforcing decentralization and fair distribution. The total supply is capped at roughly 4.29 billion NOCK, with halvings occurring on a fixed schedule to control inflation and mimic Bitcoin’s deflationary model.\n\nFrom an architectural standpoint, Nockchain is designed as a modular base layer. Its runtime supports the NockApp framework, which allows developers to deploy application-specific rollups or “proof-chains” anchored to the L1. Each rollup can perform complex off-chain computations and then post a succinct proof of validity to Nockchain’s mainnet, enabling scalability without compromising verifiability.
